St. Gabriel student 'drops the puck' at Strong Start Volunteer Event

On Sunday, February 16th the Brantford Blast supported Strong Start to Reading by providing complimentary family passes to the game for children and volunteers from our local schools who are involved in the program. Strong Start is a charitable organization that partners with local schools, School Boards and members of the community to support early learning, providing a “literacy boost” for children aged 5-7 and English language learners up to age 10.

Children representing their school boards are Tyler Fair, St. George-German School representing the Grand Erie District School Board, Nikala McNally, St. Gabriel’s Catholic School representing Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk Catholic District School Board and Liam McDermott, Braemar House School representing individual schools.
